Prostate Cancer and A Whole Food Plant-Based Diet

In this episode of PROSTATE CANCER: REAL TALK, we welcome Dr. Christine Jovanovic, an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Cancer Research Center and a faculty member at the Institute of Minority Health Research. Dr. Jovanovic holds a PhD and MPH, with extensive expertise in public health and a special focus on whole food plant-based diets.

Dr. Jovanovic is committed to reducing health disparities in prostate cancer, especially among Black men. She introduces her new study, which explores the benefits of a whole food plant-based diet for men diagnosed with localized prostate cancer. The study aims to develop behavioral strategies that encourage communities to actively engage in their health management while improving overall wellness.
